ANA MIRANDA

[ Fortaleza: 1951 ] She began her literary life by publishing poetry. Her first novel, Boca do Inferno, was a recreation of colonial Brazil. On the best-seller list for a year, it enjoyed broad success and earned the recognition of critics, readers, and teachers, the latter having adopted it in literary studies on the Brazilian Baroque.
